First five day in Argentina today:5-30-07

Im in a study abroad group from the KY and TN area colleges and the 25 or so of us are in Rosario Argentina. We have spent the first five days in Buenos Aires where we got a good dose of ARgentina. The picture to the left was inspired by a tango dinner show we all saw at Piazolla Tango in Buenos Aires, it was a thoroughly amazing show and everybody was pretty blown away including myself, so I had everybody stage this tango picture with me. The show a Piazolla Tango was one of the most meeorable performances I´ve seen, the music and the dance were perfect and unfortunately you weren´t allowed to take pictures of the show while it was goingf on. Here´s what the place looked like.

And this was the most amazing piece of meat I have ever eaten.

We did a lot more here´s some more pictures

Not all cross walk lights have ghosts on them but I think it might be suitable because if you dont pay attention to them and even with pay very close attention to the traffic you can become one. The traffic here is a rush, riding in a taxi, it´s like you´re being chased by the cops and taxi driver just robbed a bank, the lines in the road are useless except momentarily, the streets are basically these big pipes that cars come flooding down in this chaotic but amazingly collisionless flow, in the United States the pedestrians have the right of way, here the pedestrians are obstacles hoping not to get in the way. It´s very fun riding in the taxi though. white knuckle.

This is probably the most photographed line of buildings in Buenos Aires, an area called La Boca. We visited here briefly one day and had a nice lunch with a musician visit our tables

I gotta go to bed I have the first day of classes tomorrow. I am going to try and keep up with this thing, we´ll see how it goes.

Chao.
